Inspiration

The educational sector is in need of new and powerful tools to digitalize it and allow the educational professionals to develop their job in a newer and more efficient way.

What it does

Our app allows you to upload your image or take one with your camera of your solution of an equation step by step. Then, not only does it tell you weather is right or wrong, but also where you did a mistake and what kind it is.

How we built it

We used Flask for the app development, mathpix for image recognition and the we built a python script from scratch to find the type of mistakes in your equation.

Challenges we ran into

We had to learn all about Flask and bootstrap. We ran into some front-end development issues as well. Then we had to figure out a proper algorithm to sort the mistakes and clasify them in order to give a useful feedback to the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to build a fully working app able to accurately detect your hand-writting and sort the mistakes in your procedure. We learnt a tone of new skills in the way and, above all, we had a great time building it!

What we learned

We managed to build a whole web app and neither of us had much knowledge about it. We learnt how to work with Flask and bootstrap accomodating it to our script.

What's next for ITeacher

We have a long way ahead. Our app is ready to escalate and deep into other mathematical problems to provide the students with powerful and efficient resources to help them learn and grow.
