Inspiration
We initially planned to use this for the time synchronization task, but after speaking to the gentleman who proposed the task, we realized it would not fit his needs. We also realized that this type of technology would have much broader applications.
What it does
ITH provides a way of tracking the passage of patients through a healthcare environment using readily available technology.
How we built it
We built ITH using Android Studio for the app and C# for the backend server.
Challenges we ran into
We had difficulty creating a design to fit the use case and integrating the app and the server.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
On their own, both the app and the server function well enough.
What we learned
We learned how to write Android apps and how to communicate over a local access network via TCP protocol.
What's next for ITH
ITH has many planned features that remain unimplemented.
