Inspiration

3d-maps are maps of today. Although there is lots of 3d-map programs these map programs uses at their best only a small amount of open data which can be found freely from the Internet. By using open data effectively, 3d-map programs can show more helpful information and make our life easier. With this app, our goal was to use open data efficiently to show the possibilities that open data sources can offer to mapping companies to make their maps more informative and customer friendly.

What it does

Our app Jam Busters works on Mapgets 3d-map platform and models following factors on Oulu area from Oulu liikenne APIs:

• The average speed to North and South at the observed roads
• Population numbers in Oulu city districts
• Parking status at the observed parking places
• Weather camera pictures
