Inspiration
Growth + Google Cardboard
What it does
Real-time image processing using Android phones and Google Cardboard for an immersive experience. The camera image is presented in black and white, with exception of a small rectangular shape in the centered of the screen that is colored. Users are able to target different objects with this rectangular focus point, and the color of the sample is analyzed. The image process would turn up the original color in the black and white area closest to the most significant primary and secondary color in the sample region. There would also be 6 health bars at the bottom of the view (one for each of RGB and CYM colors) that can retain the color for a certain amount of time, depending on the time that the significant color stays in the sample region.
How I built it
Java and Android Studio
Challenges I ran into
A lack of experience with Android app development and a challenging project that requires real-time image processing.
What's next for Jedi-Chrome
Completion of the project by building the connection with the Android phone camera with the processing of the images.
