Inspiration
Devastation from the earthquakes in Puerto Rico
What it does
It evaluates and transmits information about a particular location to a remote location (ie, air quality, live image, temperature, barometric pressure, altitude)
How I built it
Used a raspberry pi and several sensors. Placed the contraption on motor vehicle.
Challenges I ran into
Incorrect pin soldering, malfunctioning soldering iron, structural integrity (specifically back axel)
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Successfully implemented several sensors through direct pin connection (without the use of a breadboard). Able to fix structural integrity issues with the limited spare materials at hand.
What I learned
Don't solder before you are absolutely sure that it is the correct pin configuration that you want. Also, make sure that the soldering iron isn't completely oxidized.
