Inspiration
We wanted to create a website that aims to fix the problem of job postings being taken down before they were full, due to the lack of suitable applicants. Our solution to this problem was to create a ranking system that would match the job posting with resumes submitted by looking for keywords. Applicants would be ranked starting from #1 based on the number of keyword matches, and details on exactly what keywords matched complete with diagrams would be available for the employer.
What it does
- Use of keywords to identify best matches between candidates and employers, without the need to use an outside algorithm, with an analysis provided immediately on similarities, complete with diagrams
- Integrated chatbot for ease of communication for those not tech savvy
- Large and simple fonts for both old and young to easily read important information
- Integrated chat messages, meetings/interviews (with speech-to-text transcripts), and job searching all into one platform, providing convenience for all parties,
- Added notifications & statuses, as well as calendar & scheduling, informing each party about upcoming events, or pending applications, to help organize applications and prevent situations in which they are lost
- Amaranth guides users in creating their profile, without the need for them to stress over a resume, although the option of adding a resume is still there
- Amaranth is extremely user friendly and simple to use, with two modes for employers and employees to switch between, if needed. The organizational structure of our explore page and job listing page is focused on the most essential information only, and the unimportant ones are tucked away, helping users focus on what is important.
