Inspiration

For the general public, donating to charity is something that can feel inconvenient, or the amount insignificant. Our easy-to-use chrome extension allows donating to charity to be more accessible to the general public.

What it does

Jots allows users to round up their Amazon purchases at checkout. They can choose how to round up, and it will keep track of their savings and donate it to a humanitarian charity.

How we built it

We build it with Javascript, Node.js, and Firebase.

Challenges we ran into

Chrome does not have good debugging tools or extension support.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how much we got done in so little time.

What we learned

We learned how to make a chrome extension from scratch!

What's next for Jots

Our next steps would be to add Stripe and Coinbase integration, as well as adding the extension to other e-commerce sites.
