Inspiration

While we feel that by growing older people can relax and spend time cherishing old memories, there are always challenges faced by Senior Citizen, • Physical Aging • Physical Weakness • Loneliness • Negligence in Society • Transportation • Communication • Victims for scams

A Survey on social media -Lifebegins@60 , https://youtu.be/68enMZSSZbM helped us to collect the challenges. Shunning the old approach, the rapid advent of technology has led to a positive view amongst people towards ageing. In this digital world, every senior citizen requires a forum where they expand their connections, share stories, plan their future, take assistance, voice out that they are still young and energetic, and when in need demand services. Their well-wishers need a consistent know how of them and get notified in case of any emergencies.

What it does

• The App https://youtu.be/x0fID_kFBlk enables Senior citizen to track their health history –medical history, medical prescriptions, Doctors, Vitals Monitoring by Device Integration • Set up Reminders for Medicine Intake, Events, Appointments. • Periodic push notifications to mobile and WhatsApp for reminders • BOT Assistance to set up your reminders or book any services • Communicate with Family members • Digital Diaries • Share your Knowledge - Be a Speaker in Event • Attend an Event in their locality • Book for Services – taxi, home care, personal care, travel assistant • Reach out to Health care professionals

How we built it

The Application is built on Powerapps Canvas App, Power Pages, Microsoft Azure, Data verse, Power Virtual Agent BOT and Azure Cognitive services

Not enough data to identify the challenges Complex UIs and multiple apps in silos to cater their digital needs

What we learned

• Primary data was collected by survey @lifebeginsat60 which helped us to collect qualitative information. • A Digital assistant is required to support senior citizen to expand their networking and book for services. The App should act as a one stop solution for all their needs • Building an app in low code no code platform supports the scalability and future enhancements in a very short span.

What's next for Just60

• The future solution will incorporate Accessibility Labels in Powerapps based on the reference material from skilling library, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/events/build-2022/chi04-advancing-equity-inclusion-in-products. With this feature senior citizen group with special abilities can also make use of the App successfully • Voice Assistance for creating service requests or make phone calls would help senior citizen to convey their need with ease of steps • AI enabled suggestions to remind senior citizens on their daily routines and special events
