A dedicated portal for both down-syndrome parents and KDSP staff to schedule appointments, assess financial needs and manage overall well-being of a loved one because love does not count chromosomes.

Inspiration

To build an impactful product that will not only impact the people around us positively but also evolve as a competitive startup in the country.

What it does

KDSP Live helps its staff and clients to make appointments on daily-basis hassle-free. It pairs up therapists with clients based on their needs and time availability along with assessing the clients with financial needs.

How we built it

We built it using various technology stacks with Django and flask being on the back-end and react on the front-end. Database has been setup using POSTGRESQL and is deployed on Heroku. It consists of an appointment scheduler, a client-side portal and an admin dashboard.

Challenges we ran into

There were a lot of use-cases to cater in a limited time capacity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have successfully implemented and deployed all the use-cases that we planned. All the code is in a working state.

What we learned

A collaborative effort along with adrenaline rush and motivation to bring a positive change in the society can yield amazing results and our product is the manifestation of that.

What's next for KDSP Live

Our next plan is to get in touch with the organization, get feedback on our product and tailor as per their requirement and mold this into a final product.
