Inspiration
This is a simple online portal for kidney patients to put relevant information for potential recruiters. This portal aims to help spread awareness about dialysis patients, and that patients are hire-able too.
What it does
This portal will allow patients to provide basic information about their health histories, current treatments, and lifestyle habits. Patients can also provide information about their current and past employers and any relevant skills or qualifications they possess. The portal will also allow potential recruiters to search for qualified candidates based on their criteria and to contact them directly with any relevant questions. The portal is designed to help connect recruiters with qualified kidney patients and to provide a platform for dialogue and understanding.
How we built it
This project was bootstrapped with Create React App. A Node Express server is used for the backend, and MySQL running in Docker for database storage.
Challenges we ran into
Too many features to implement under the time constraint.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have made a rough outline of what we envisioned the app to be within this time.
What we learned
Better time management, to create a simpler prototype that looks and feels better, while still having having our vision be clear to users.
What's next for Kidnet
Adding CSS for our components, more features.
