Inspiration

I was inspired by my very own experience with procrastination. It brings me many time to give up on goals or projects. This is due to the far destination I see, before seeing the small step it needs to take to go on.

What it does

Kiffari is a task manager which helps the user to reduce procrastination at its maximum, by making steps smaller and so to make it easier to accomplish.

How we built it

I used Bolt for almost anything, but I edited the code also by myself when something was not clear or properly handled as expected. AI generation is handled by Google Gemini API. It is extremely performant and it make it easy to accomplish any goal with a bunch of prompts. I also will use Firebase Auth, Firestore, Supabase and Stripe integrations using Bolt.

Challenges we ran into

I've been developing for 10 years now, but I always worked with mobile applications (Android, iOS, Flutter) and so I didn't know how to use React. So this was the biggest challenge as I wanted to know what Bolt was doing when generating the code. Apart from that, handling UI was the main problem, as Bolt couldn't handle it very well all the time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The web app is working as expected and I feel happy with the results, even if there's a lot of room for improvements.

What we learned

I learn how to use React a little bit better than before, I learnt that Bolt is reliable and can really create something useful and working in a bunch of days.

What's next for Kiffari

Improvements, auth and syncing online, AI credits to buy, sharing projects between users and other features.
