Inspiration

Our team's inspiration was how students often use Youtube and AI's like ChatGPT to study. We wanted to create a resource that combines these services into one site for ease.

What it does

Know Better allows users to find visual study resources in the library and chat with a study partner to reinforce topics and get encouragement.

How we built it

We built Know Better with HTML and CSS for the website and JavaScript and RiTa for the chatbot. For visuals, we used AI to generate the background and Canva for other icons.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues implementing AI with our chatbot because of paywalls and utilizing a Youtube API for our video library because of our lack of experience with APIs. We also had to overcome each other's scheduling conflicts, tech issues and a large time difference.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our ability to work together despite challenges and our ability to learn new concepts while creating the project.

What we learned

We learned how to utilize our diverse knowledge of programming languages to create a cohesive project.

What's next for Know Better

We hope to improve our video library and chatbot. By improving the video library we hope to expand the content that users can see. Additionally we want to expand the capabilities of the chatbot to improve the assistance we can give to users. Down the line, we want to add a feature that lets users share notes to create a more community aspect to our website.
