Inspiration

Exams are difficult - students of all ages will note this. While there are some popular study platforms, such as Quizlet and Chegg, they are often neither free nor engaging. As high school students who are all too familiar with student’ study habits in the digital age, we want to make a new, gamified study tool that is both free and engaging, and easy to use with friends and family.

What it does

The objective of this game is to answer as many questions as you can by choosing any empty box on the grid and dominating your opponent with knowledge and colors!

The number in each box denotes the amount of points you score- or how many blocks you will cover by answering the question.

The larger the number in a box, the more blocks you will cover, but the harder the questions will be!

How we built it

We used ReactJS, NextJS, and TailwindCSS to build this.

Figuring out the game logic and allowing multiplayer

Implementing multiplayer and private room codes as well as optimizing the game mechanics
