Inspiration
Kollage was inspired by the need of an easy to use NFT marketplace for XRP ledger
What it does
It allows you to mint free and unlimited NFTs using Xumm wallet as method of authenticating and signing. NFTs are permanently stored in Arweave as a better option than Ipfs. A marketplace to trade NFTs is part of the app, allowing you to create buy or sell offers with ease
How we built it
We used NodeJS on the server, postgreSQL for ledger replication for quick data access, Xumm wallet for authentication and signing transactions, then HTML, JS and CSS on the client
Challenges we ran into
Communicating with Xumm wallet was an evolving process until a universal SDK was released just in time for the hackathon making our lives easier sending transactions to the users for signing
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Once we had the app finished, we pushed forward to create an xApp in Xumm wallet and we are proud to say that we accomplished that goal after some hardships connecting client and server in Xumm
What we learned
XRP Ledger is easy to work with, SDKs are top notch and Wallet connection is covered by Xumm, all great tools we learned through the process
What's next for Kollage
Refining the marketplace, making it more appealing specially for secondary sales is our next goal, then more marketing for the onboarding process
