Inspiration

As we already know, Russia declared its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. As a result of that war, 11.5 million people were forced to leave their homes because all of their properties had been destroyed. From the data we have collected, refugees need a lot of things to get their decent life back. Based on that, we developed a website called Krainerous. Krainerous is a website that offers you to take part in helping Ukraine's families by minting NFTs.

What it does

Krainerous offers you to take part in helping Ukraine's families by minting NFTs. After you mint your NFTs, you will get your NFTs randomly, means that you will get the common ones or the most valuable NFTs. Krainerous partners with various artists all around the world who are willing to support Ukrainians people by selling their arts. All of the earnings will be donated to Ukrainian people by using Unchain Ukraine.

How we built it

The web is built with Thirdweb SDK, Ethereum (Goerli testnet), NextJS and Tailwind CSS frameworks and is integrated with Metamask Wallet.

Challenges we ran into

All of our team members are college students, so it's hard to manage our time with college life.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In a short time, we've managed to wrap this web up to be a crowdfunding program to help Ukraine, who are going through tough times right now.

What we learned

We didn't know that making a fundraising program could be this hard because we need to make sure that our product should attract a lot of people so they'd donate.

What's next for Krainerous

We have planned for the real-world implementation in our product roadmap. First things first, we will contact the NFT artists to collaborate with us to provide their NFTs that they’re willing to donate on our website. Next we will launch our product that has reached MVP to people all around the world so they can start buying NFTs. We're aiming for a total fund of $9 Million in 1 year.
