LabLink curates high-quality lab descriptions by combining data from reliable external sources and by giving researchers a simple means to create, maintain and share an engaging public presence.
As students walk around campus, our mobile app for iOS (+ Android in the future) uses iBeacon technology and location-based services to actively notify students of the research being performed in their immediate surroundings. Devices without iBeacon support can scan 2D barcodes posted near each lab to obtain the same up-to-date, location-based information. A web interface delivers universal access for all mobile and desktop devices, and provides the primary means for lab members to customize their presence.
