Learning Journies is a comprehensive platform that brings personalized, accessible education directly to users. Here’s how it works:
Course Customization – Learning Journies enables users to create unique courses by selecting a primary topic and specifying any number of subtopics. This gives users flexibility over their learning experience and allows them to dive into exactly what they want to learn, whether it's the basics or more advanced concepts in a specific field.
AI-Driven Content Gathering and Summarization – Leveraging advanced AI technology, Learning Journies scours vast educational resources, gathering relevant content across different formats and mediums. The AI then condenses this information into concise summaries, ensuring that users can focus on core concepts without getting bogged down in unnecessary details.
Interactive Learning Elements – To enhance engagement, Learning Journies goes beyond text-based content. Each course includes: 1) Dynamic Mind Maps – Visual mind maps allow users to see connections between key ideas, making complex subjects easier to understand and remember. 2) Quizzes – Customized quizzes test comprehension and reinforce learning, helping users assess their progress and retain information effectively. 3) Short-form Educational Reels – Inspired by YouTube Shorts, these bite-sized videos deliver key insights in an engaging format, ideal for quick review or visual learners.

The platform generates a personalized roadmap for each topic, guiding users step-by-step through the material to create an engaging and rewarding learning experience. How we built it 🛠️
Learning Journies is powered by an innovative tech stack combining Google Palm 2 and Gemini AI, enabling an intelligent engine that curates educational content across a vast digital landscape. Our backend is built on Google Cloud Run, Cloud Bucket, and Compute, while Firebase supports seamless data storage and user management. The front-end was crafted with React and refined using Tailwind UI, ensuring a visually appealing, intuitive user interface.

A major hurdle was creating a distraction-free user interface that enhances focus, as well as navigating the complexities of Google Cloud Platform services to achieve a smooth integration.
