Inspiration
Staying connected across different countries and time zones is hard. Current apps focus on instant messaging, but meaningful updates get lost, and memories fade. We wanted a way to keep conversations alive, authentic, and easy — no matter the distance.
What it does
Lemmeno is a voice-first app that helps people share daily updates in their own voice with the right groups (family, friends, trainers, peers). It delivers messages at the right local time, remembers past conversations using a memory layer, and suggests prompts to keep relationships active. Users can also set reminders for birthdays, calls, or events.
How we built it
- Voice STT: Deepgram for transcription.
- Personal Voice: Cartesin for authentic playback.
- Frontend: Designs from Figma → React Native.
- Backend: Python (FastAPI).
- Database: Supabase (auth, storage, transcripts).
- Memory Layer: supermemory.ai for semantic recall.
- Scheduling: APScheduler for time-zone aware delivery.
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating multiple APIs smoothly within 24 hours.
- Making time-zone aware scheduling reliable across different devices.
- Designing an intuitive UX that feels personal yet scalable.
- Balancing privacy with memory recall features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a working MVP in under 24 hours.
- Seamless daily voice summary sharing across time zones.
- Successfully integrated a memory layer to “recall” past conversations.
- Created a design that feels simple, warm, and human-first.
What we learned
- The importance of asynchronous but authentic communication.
- How memory layers can make apps feel truly human-centric.
- Fast API integrations and the power of Figma → production workflows.
- That even small nudges (reminders, prompts) can keep relationships strong.
What's next for Lemmeno
- Expand pilot testing with families, friends, and training groups.
- Add advanced memory features (search by topic, emotion, or date).
- Roll out personalized voices for richer playback.
- Launch invite-only beta and grow user base through storytelling.
- Explore enterprise use cases for remote teams and coaching.
