Inspiration

We were inspired by our passion for learning new languages and we think it is important to connect with others with something that we use every day: Language!

What it does

We made a website that offers supplemental material to help when learning a new foreign language. This way, learning a new language will not be so one dimensional: learn vocab and grammar, and learn how to speak.

How we built it

We created our site on replit using a combination of CSS, HTML, Canva, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and of course the hard work of our entire team.

Challenges we ran into

Two of us are completely new to both web development and hackathons, so this experience had a lot of ups and downs for us. We also tried to use a lot of techniques that were out of our skill level, so there was a lot of debugging that we had to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of the website we made and the contributions that each of us had because we tried out new skills to challenge ourselves.

What we learned

We learned the importance of working in a team and that cute things always make an experience better.

What's next for lingodingo

We want to be able to create more languages as we improve. We also want to create a public profile and community page for users to share their own songs, videos, etc.
