What it is
- a website that reminds users to take care of themselves mentally and physically (that can condense into a mobile version if needed)
What it does
- reminds users to complete tasks that are related to their mental and physical well being
- allows users to set long-term goals with short-term steps on how to achieve that goal
- motivates users with quotes and customizable profile
How we built it
- I (Regina) designed the logo and gif via Procreate
- Edward came up with the ideas of what to do with the home page (and the avatar) on Figma
- Alyina did the coding on Javascript
- Aaron designed the website UI, (I designed the mobile version) on Figma, along with editing the video describing our project
Challenges we ran into
- creating buttons in javascript
- aligning the different components in the website (the different boxes) so the UI would look relatively pretty
- none of us really knew how to code proficiently well
- generally just making the whole thing work! This was our (the whole team) first hackathon, we were all very overwhelmed and nervous
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- creation of gif/logo
- creation of what every button/page leads to
- animating the glowing effect of the lightbulb
What we learned
- how to code in javascript
- how to upload code onto github
- how to implement CreateApp to create a website/app
- how to animate and use Procreate to create graphics aesthetic for the site
- how to use Figma as a drawing board
What's next for Lumo
- user interactive stats
- minigame on profile, avatar customizable to the user
- efficiency and ui-beautifying
Built With
- figma
- javascript
