The idea for Lunar OS+ came from a collaborative brainstorming session where we explored the challenges of surviving and thriving in extreme environments. We mapped out what essential tools and information would be most valuable, from environmental monitoring to communication, and iteratively sketched how a digital survival toolkit could make life easier for users. We implemented all of our Ideas and created the Platform, Lunar OS+! We used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to code the entire website!
Lunar OS+ Includes:
A Resource Management tool to monitor and optimize resource use on the moon. Gives Predictive Analysis and Emergency Protocol tips based on the current resources. An Environment Tracker which tracks environmental conditions on the moon such as Solar Radiation, Surface Temperature, and more! Clothing recommendations based on the Environmental Factors! A Communication Platform which enable communication between communities and citizens! Built For Solaris Hacks 2025!
We are extremely proud of what we’ve built with Lunar OS+, as it successfully delivers the features and functionality we envisioned. Throughout the development process, we honed our skills in creating dynamic, interactive web applications, learning how to craft responsive functions that provide real-time feedback and meaningful insights.
Beyond the core environmental monitoring tools, Lunar OS+ lays the foundation for future growth and expansion. We envision adding features such as a communication platform for lunar mission teams, enhanced analytics dashboards, and personalized alerts to make the platform even more interactive and user-centric.
