Inspiration

We have raised for a startup. We have gained sponsorships for the clubs we have worked. We have gotten internships in our first year of university.

We are not bragging about these accomplishments. We are here to say that we have accomplished all the coolest opportunities we have ever gotten by sending personalized cold emails with a spice of our humor and personality. If these emails did not initially get us the things we wanted, we have gotten them indirectly by scoring coffee chats by sending well-written cold emails.

We recognized that it gets really repetitive after a while when we learn to write cold emails nicely, so we decided to make a program that automates the process. Obviously, AI can never fully put the spice of our personality, so for that, the program lets us edit our email drafts and send them within the app.

What it does

For instance. Say you're trying to get sponsorships for HackThe6ix.

You have a .csv (excel) file with the columns: company names, person's name, their description, their company, their email and lastly, our ask.

This .csv gets uploaded to our program, our back-end using OpenAI GPT 4 drafts emails in no time. All the emails you have = the rows you had in your .csv file. You can toggle through all the drafts that are generated. Add in your own little spice in it. And, batch send all using one click!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy for whatever your endeavours maybe: getting internship, funding or job.

How we built it

OpenAI GPT 4 API, React.js, Tailwind, Flask, Pandas.

Challenges we ran into

Toggling through the drafts definitely made us scratch our heads too much but we got it!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our challenges that we overcame and our UI and UX! It's extremely easy to navigate. Anybody can use it and we think it has startup potential. It is also extremely beneficial to people to communicate well who are learning English.

What we learned

Before, we'd try to solve a problem that doesn't exist looking at the awards. This time, we said screw the awards, we solve a problem that we care about. I believe we learned significantly better!

What's next for MailReach

We are genuinely going to use it in our workflow and to send internship cold emails. We are confident it has startup potential using a monthly subscription model.
