Inspiration

We've always taken a liking to Modern Finance, and we want to expand ourselves in that direction. We figured that a basic program that will help to predict future stock values would be beneficial to our understanding of the fast paced environment of the stock market.

What it does

Market Master helps people choose the stocks that they would like to invest in by showing them a prediction of what the stock value may possibly be for the next 50 days.

How we built it

We combined trends, the theory of mean reversions and patterns in the stocks past to help create a model for the future.

Challenges we ran into

Notice in our inspiration section, we mentioned that we were going to make a "Basic" program. After about ten and a half hours of holding our heads in frustration, we had seemingly left this project to die in our memories.

After failing in multiple sections including, but not limited to our GUI design, various errors in calculating our regression, and the never failing Static limitations; we were fairly pleased when we found out that the program actually compilied and gave us something. Not nearly correct, but a start. Continuing for the next 4 hours of bug squashing, we were finally able to deliever a product that we are proud to demonstrate today.
