Inspiration

We were inspired by modern day dating apps.

What it does

It helps eliminate some of the personal bias when choosing a partner on dating apps.

How we built it

We used swift for the application with swipe animations and a beautiful UI. We also built a flask API in python for AI chatbot requests.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing the chat system on the front end was a challenge. We managed to make a working version but it didn't work as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of our UI and our self trained AI model. The concept was awesome and we are glad we have a working login and registration screen as well for validating tamu students.

What we learned

We learned about the intricacies of Swift, databases using firebase, design elements for our art as well as Flask and pytorch for training our model.

What's next for Maroon Match

We believe we can work on this project for a week or 2 more and publicly release it. We have experience with releasing IOS apps so this would just be another one off the list.
