Inspiration
We were inspired by our own experiences learning math as elementary school students
What it does
Our goal was to build a elementary game using a friendly Graphic User Interface and dynamic graphics. In general, we aimed to learn the programming language as we progressed.
How we built it
We built it using a combination of Swing and Java, integrating both to create a program with a functional GUI.
Challenges we ran into
Once we designed the graphics, it took some time to figure out how to integrate the .gif files into the interface. The most challenging part, but also the most rewarding, was learning Swing and integrating it with Java.

What's next for Math Monster
Complete the Graphic User Interface experience and make it more dynamic. With more time, we can easily integrate more graphics and features, such as more complex mathematics.
