Inspiration
Since I was young I have always "hated" math because I was bad at it. My Algebra II teacher taught me that this 'fixed' mindset was wrong and I instead should have a 'growth mindset. I wanted to find a way to share this message with other people by providing the resources for them on a website.
What it does
The web app provides resources in three different forms; videos, articles, and projects. For example, the videos pages will give you different videos for implementing growth and positive mindsets in math.
How I built it
I used Glitch as the platform and used HTML and CSS to bring it all together.
Challenges I ran into
Verifying the resources I had and then transferring them correctly into the code.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to get this done in an efficient manner and do it the way I had initially envisioned it to be.
What I learned
As much as I already knew about a growth mindset, I did learn a lot more when I went through the resources.
What's next for Mathivity
I want to make the website more user interactive, possibly adding AI into the picture to cater the website exactly to the user's needs.
