Inspiration
April 2020, I remember staying up all night making masks for my friends working in health care, because they didn’t have enough masks to protect themselves. They were forced to use a cloth that clearly didn’t fully protect them. I was disheartened to see that those who fought for our lives and those we called “Heroes” can’t even fully protect themselves because our country was not prepared to handle the shortage of medical supplies. I wanted to contribute to something that could help reduce the severity of such incidents.
What it does
Our App McK360
- Enables transparency throughout the supply chain
- Provides real-time data tracking of shipments and relevant reports
- Offers an order-ticketing system through which customers can notify distributors of shortages
How we built it
We used Miro dashboard to collaborate and conduct research on current state of supply chains. Figma was used to do app design and wireframing With Xcode we bought our solution design to life
Challenges we ran into
It was hard to find a problem that could be fixed to a great extent with technology alone, as SCM is a multifunctional domain.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having able to collaborate virtually despite not knowing each other personally. We are super proud of sticking together and not giving up until materialising our solution into an app
