Elevator Pitch

For forgetful and busy healthcare consumers who want to keep track of their drugs stock and their compatibility, MediApp is a mobile friendly web application that unlike simply having to remember, will keep record of your drug cabinet virtually with a simple interface anywhere and at all times. Users benefit from a simpler and safer healthcare experience with regards to drugs. MediApp is a next step to the increasingly digitised and personalised patient health management.

How we built it

We used Flask as our web framework, AXA's health API to display information about available drugs and the U.S. National Library of Medicine to calculate compatibility of drugs.

Challenges we ran into

We had difficulties reading and writing drug information to and from the database. One of the functionalities that we wanted to add is the ability to check the compatibility of all the drugs in one cabinet. However, the swissmedicId for drugs was different for each country which made it to use the AXA API to compare the results.
