Done for the Pitt Challenge!
What it does
Uses a barcode scanner in order to scan prescription medicine barcodes and ensure that a patient's safety is not jeopradized especially with over the counter products that a pharmacist might not know about.
How we built it
First we built the original prototype-frame in HTML and Javascript in order to get a "proof of concept" working, then we ported it over to Android Development,
Challenges we ran into
Lack of an experience in Android Development, for one, which created a lot of problems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
FINISHING THE WORKING PROTOTYPE IN AD, for all the problems we hit!
What we learned
A lot about Android Development and also that we (programming side) were not fond of Javascript.
What's next for MediBuddy
Integrating it with an actual commerical pharmacist application.
