The complexity of taxes, the prevalence of financial scams, and the lack of clear, engaging financial education inspired us to create a platform that empowers users. Drawing from resources like Financial Intelligence for Entrepreneurs and How Finance Works, MENEY aims to simplify money matters and build financial confidence for users of all backgrounds.

What it does

MENEY is an AI-powered financial literacy app that helps users: Understand Taxes: Simplifies tax concepts (e.g., marginal vs. average tax rates) with tailored advice based on income and goals.

Protect Against Scams: Uses AI to detect potential financial scams by analyzing transaction patterns or communications.

Learn About Money: Offers interactive, bite-sized lessons on budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.

Get Personalized Insights: Analyzes user financial data to provide actionable recommendations, like optimizing savings or calculating investment ROI.

Connect with a Community: Enables users to share tips and learn from others in a supportive financial community.

How we built it

Frontend: Built with React and Vite for a responsive, user-friendly interface, hosted on Lovable’s platform.

Backend: Integrated with Supabase for database management, authentication, and real-time data handling.

AI Features: Leverages Lovable’s AI for code generation, scam detection algorithms, and personalized financial advice using natural language processing (NLP).

Deployment: One-click deployment via Lovable, with custom domain support (meney.lovable.app) and GitHub integration for code syncing.

Content: Curated financial lessons inspired by The Richest Engineer and Financial Intelligence, designed to be engaging and beginner-friendly.

Challenges we ran into
