Mental Math Practice

Inspiration

Arthur T. Benjamin's "Secrets of Mental Math" book.

What it does

Right now, it just adds two randomly generated two-digit numbers.

How we built it

Using React JS and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

I think the trickiest part for me was proper CSS centering for different screen sizes and handling the right data during form submission.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That I was able to create something that works. This project served as a fun practical experience of learning React JS basics.

What we learned

I was able to put into practice the concepts that I've learned during this week, like form handling. In future projects I want to learn to integrate API's into my apps.

What's next for Mental Math Practice

Add features to enable configuring the number of digits and type of operation (with Art's book serving as the mainl guide). Be able to do timed rounds and store results on one's speed and accuracy.
