Inspiration
Our inspiration was to connect the Miami Tech community at large with the amazing job opportunities represented at the "Miami for Everyone" Hackathon
What it does
MIAlgo.io directly connects the broader Miami Tech community with all the job opportunites represented at the hackathon and allows for ongoing community development and integrity via a token running on Algorand and Stacks.
How we built it
We built the mialgo.io website using React hosted on AWS and we built the MIAlgo token on Algorand via the Javascript SDK
PS: The Stacks MIAlgo token is pending deployment on the Stacks blockchain. The MIAlgo token available on Stack was developed using Clarity.
Challenges we ran into
We had no prior experience with the Algorand Blockchain had to learn it during the Hackathon. Also, we had no prior experience generating QR codes. Finally, our UI/UX designer had no prior experience creating logos and graphic and had to develop some of her graphic design skills throughout the Hackathon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to build a functional app that is ready to be shared and service the Miami Tech community. Also, we are proud that we learned up-and-coming blockchain technology which was rewarding and will allow us to make better career decisions and investments as the blockchain industry grows.
What we learned
We learned how to develop on top of the Algorand Blockchain, QR code generation, and new graphic design skills.
What's next for MIAlgo
We look forward to exploring and sharing the resources we aggregated over the weekend via our social media profiles and Miami Tech friends.
