We are submitting to the social good track.

Inspiration:

This project was inspired by the need for more mental health resources in an era where the topic matters more than ever.

What it Does:

The website contains three functional applications, designed to be therapeutic and effective at reducing stress. It also contains general information about mental health and why it is important.

What We Learned:

Anannya: Along with enforcing what I already knew in HTML and CSS, I learned how to code CSS animations using @keyframes. I also learned some valuable teamwork & collaboration skills.

Ace: I developed a stronger sense of direction when working with HTML and CSS. I also learned the basics of JavaScript and the beginnings of web development.

Purva: In addition to strengthening my knowledge of HTML and discovering new CSS properties, I obtained a deeper understanding of mindfulness and mental illness.

Yacoub: Making the value of the sliders correspond to the volume of the video helped me discover new JavaScript functions. I also learned how to implement NPM packages into my code.

How We Built It:

We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build our website.

What we're Proud of:

We're proud of the fact that all of us learned something new in this short period of time. We're also proud of the fact that we made something that could impact people in a positive way.

Challenges We Faced:

The layout and design of the webpage required a lot of trial and error from all four of us, but we worked it out in the end.

What's Next

Hopefully, we'll add a variety of stims, some stretching exercises, and maybe some more detailed mental health resources and tips.
