MindMerge

Inspiration

My own way of studying is very unique and I believe everyone learns in their own way. Personally, I like to start with a simple explanation, then take a quiz, then move into more detailed content, and sometimes even watch a video. But I could never find all of that in one place. I constantly had to jump from platform to platform, and a lot of the content wasn’t suited for my age. As a teenager , I don’t need material designed for adults . I also struggled to find summaries and experiment ideas that could help me remember what I learned. On top of that, my internet access isn’t always reliable, and much of the content I found online was inaccurate. All of these challenges inspired me to build MindMerge .

What it does

MindMerge – An all-in-one learning app that adapts to every user. Pick a topic, age, and difficulty, choose your preferred format (explanations, summaries, tips, quizzes), and learn confidently with AI fact-checking. Access a dynamic library online or offline, upload your own content, and explore what others have shared—anytime, anywhere ,each learner also have a personal profile that tracks viewed content and top interest, and learning stats .

How we built it

To demonstrate that the app is fully functional, we developed an interactive web-based prototype. The frontend was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a clean user interface. For the backend, we used Flask combined with the Cohere AI API , The brand identity and logo and design of the website were designed using Canva to give the prototype a professional visual look.

Challenges we ran into

Research overload – I had to research in many different areas (cohere AI api, UI/UX, business planning, user flow, etc.), which was sometimes overwhelming.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re especially proud of how much we learned throughout this process. Building the prototype and developing a complete project plan pushed me to do extensive research not only on the technical side, but also on business strategy and user flow. Most importantly, we are proud that we were able to create an app concept that aims to help people learn in a smarter, more personalized way.

What's next for MindMerge

Turn prototype into a full mobile app ,then adding the offline library and AI fact checker ,gathering more feedback and testing, adding progress tracking & AI recommendation &badges ,Introduce institutional premium features(Includes analytics dashboard for schools to track student activity and progress) , using more languages to expand globally
