Inspiration
From my previous experience and this hackathon, I was overwhelmed by how many tabs I had to keep on my laptop to use the many resources MLH provided for hackers. So, I wanted to have an easier navigation to those resources in one web app. All links, communication, workshops, etc are in the web app in order to make the hacker's research process much easier.
What it does
It directs to any available resources for MLH hackers.
How we built it
It is a web app based on Python and deployed in Streamlit.
Challenges we ran into
I had difficulty inserting images in my file when deployed and I have the error file not found, which is odd to me because I was looking at live changes and the image did pop up without an error.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I only know the basis of Python so the fact that the app is entirely out of this language is what surprises me.
What we learned
I learned to use Streamlit and enhance my Python coding skills
What's next for MLH Navigate
I want to create a chatbox for hackers to ask questions to coordinators or make a hardware page where hackers can send hardware requests by submitting a simple survey to providers.
Built With
- python
- streamlit
