Inspiration

Our team was inspired by Mark Zuckerberg and first edition of the Facebook - Facemash.

What it does

Users compare different avatars and choose which one looks funnier

How we built it

Our tech stack consisted of React and Firebase. We added several profiles to the database and created a ranking system.

Challenges we ran into

We initially could not work properly with firebase due to inexperience. However, it was a great challenge and we learnt a lot of new things. In addition to that, we tried to implement Machine Learning models to generate new avatars but ran out of time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of learning firebase and creating a project actually using it. Moreover, we are amazed by the way we reinvented old idea in a modern way using emojis and avatars instead of photos.

What we learned

Most of the work should be done in first 12 hours. Communication among the team members and division of the roles are extremely significant for successful teams.

What's next for Mojismash

We will increase our functional by allowing users to post their own avatars and creating a leaderboard among the avatars. In addition to that, we will use ML models which will pick suitable filter and generate several images out of which you can choose your avatar.
