Inspiration

While searching for an idea, the team came across the idea of MoneyMasters and was instantly hooked by it's ability to apply to the education and financial tracks.

What it does

MoneyMasters is a live web application that allows people gain financial literacy skills in fun and interactive modules.

How we built it

We build it using: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TailwindCSS, Express, NodeJs, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Challenges we ran into

Following through with every step of the software development life cycle was challenging given the time frame of 24 hours to deliver a full product. There were also areas of the development effort that were undertaken by a disproportionate number of team members due to other team members not having yet developed the relevant skills for certain tasks pertaining to the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We finished a decent chunk of our idea, and were able to deploy the application on google cloud platform in an app engine instance. This is a major accomplishment for the team, as we were able to take the idea from a raw idea to deployment.

What we learned

We learned more about various technologies such as tailwindcss, GCP, typescript, mongodb, and other technologies that were used during the development of the project.
