What it does
Chooses 2 songs from musicals entered by the user that it thinks could be mashed together well, based on the tempo and time signature.
Challenges we ran into
We couldn't figure out the web player for Spotify.
The user interface was rushed together late at night and did not work, so we had to get rid of it again for one of the main thing.
Our frontend and backend don't really communicate properly.
What we learned
We learnt how to use an API to scrape data from a website.
What's next for Monster Mash
We will create a functional user interface so that the frontend and backend communicate with each other. I also want to create more specific categories for choosing songs to mash up, and if it is possible it would actually mash the 2 songs together.
