Inspiration
We might have an addiction to the Monster Energy drink and the rat might represent us in some respects
What it does
It's a platforming game where you collect different monster energy drinks until it ODs and the game ends.
How we built it
We built the game in Unity using C#
Challenges we ran into
Outside of the game bugs, we struggled with getting access to our VMs where we were supposed to make the project originally. After that, we struggled with the jumps and the rotation of the player character, but we eventually figure out how to fix that.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite our lack of knowledge and experience, we were able to make a product that has little to no bugs and can be completed all the way through
What we learned
Since this was our first Hackathon as a group, we were able to get a feel of what the competition is like and that we should be more prepared beforehand in case of worst-case scenarios such as not having your VM work.
What's next for Monster OD
Hopefully, we will add some more patches in case of other stuff or not
