Inspiration
We wanted to create a way to interact with computers and devices more naturally — beyond keyboards and mice. Imagine being able to control your mouse, perform gestures, or even play virtual drums just by moving your fingers in the air. That vision inspired us to build MountPro, a wearable device that turns your hand into a powerful input controller.
What it does
Control a mouse pointer using finger gestures
Perform air gestures for quick actions or shortcuts
Play virtual instruments like drums
How we built it
for the prototype the setup is easy, you ned esp32 with 9 dof sensor, but what is does is complex
Challenges we ran into
sensor cali bration is soo tricky, reading values, calculate quaternion, lag/speed/ latency improvement
Accomplishments that we're proud of
you can increase your productivity and you dont have to buy expensive drums and carry it everywhere you go
What we learned
We learned how crucial sensor fusion, signal processing, and real-time data handling are in building motion-based systems.
What's next for MountPro
Improve gesture accuracy with advanced ML models Add haptic feedback for better user interaction Enable custom gesture mapping so users can define their own shortcuts and most importantly, this is just a prototype of how system will work, we need to chip design in order to make it really mountable size, like ring. and also 3d printed for start.
