Inspiration
We have found that patients who undergo life altering diseases are predisposed to losing the battle because of the inability to track their information and get information from those who are undergoing the same plight.
What it does
To solve this we aimed to make a platform that would both track health records as well as allow users to share their chronology of symptom with the community.
How we built it
Ethos: We took a patient centric approach to building the tool. A key driver was personal plight when trying to articulate to doctors the chronology of symptoms which led to misdiagnosis coupled with financial stress.
Tech: Typescript + React - front end, Backend : Flask (will be replaced by Spring soon)
Challenges we ran into
Settling on an MVP that would drive traction. (We're getting there!)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finally learned how the process of building a project that you want to maintain looks like.
What we learned
Working on your goal on the weekends is challenging but totally worth it!
What's next for MoyMed
We will continue chipping away at the various features and drive for mass user adoption. We'll see success one day. :) On the tactical front:
- We plan to make the symptom tracker common for all kinds of tracking - diet changes, exercise routine changes and consequent symptom improvements for users have the tool to take full accountability for their health.
- We plan to get MoyMed for tracking be mobile compatible.
- User authentication.
- Pseudonymized sharing of the medical information in the community to eradicate paranoia and promote knowledge sharing.
