Inspiration

We were inspired by websites like Indeed and JobFinder. However, these websites are limited to those with experience. We made ESPO to allow the impoverished population to find jobs too, which in the long run can change their lives for the better.

What it does

Our app allows users to create an account for 2 different purposes: employers, who create job listings, and workers, who sign up for those listings. Users can register or sign in to an account. Workers input their capabilities and limits, which is studied by our AI to recommend jobs they can complete.

How we built it

We built ESPO on Bubble.io.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges, most of them stemming from the fact that we were all unfamiliar with coding. However, we were able to learn a lot from mistakes and create our app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of integrating an AI than recommends workers jobs they can do based on their capabilities and preferences.

What we learned

We learned a lot about coding and app design, such as how to integrate AI into an app.

What's next for Project ESPO

We eventually want to make ESPO a real operating website and app that helps the needy find jobs. It can be polished and improved to potentially help millions of needy people find jobs.
