What it does

How we built it

Through careful ideation and meaningful design we were able to create several hand drafted sketches for proof of concept before moving to the SolidWorks stage spearheaded by Jolie Nguyen to model and successfully design the multitool.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of time to remain on site was a major setback as some members left early and weren’t able to contribute for a majority of the event. Some other issues include unique geometry requiring SolidWorks surfaces and other complex tools.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The initial curvature of the model was a setback that Jolie and Timothy were able to tackle using previous experience and testing several approaches to resolve the issue.

What we learned

We learned a lot about meaningful contribution to the design as well as the importance of iteration to finalize and throughly understand the design before its actualization.
