Love for music.

What it does

This application lets anyone play a single or multiple instruments at a time using leap motion device. Also, they can listen to multiple musicians playing their instruments on this web app or on their mobile phone.

How we built it

We used leap motion to identify the instrument being played and send that information to the cloud server. Multiple such devices can send their information concurrently. Users can now listen to this orchestra which has instruments concurrently playing from all musicians.

Challenges we ran into

Processing real time data with low latency. Concurrently playing multiple musical instruments.

What's next for Virtual Ensemble

There is a lot of scope. This can be improved to have separate channel for each conductor with their orchestras. Also, users can mix-n-match channels for innovative tunes.
