Inspiration
Productivity tools still force humans to translate ideas into UI clicks, shortcuts, and tab switching. Even with advanced hardware like the Logitech MX Creative Console and MX Master, execution remains manual. We asked a first-principles question: What if hardware understood intent — not commands? Instead of mapping buttons to shortcuts, we reimagined the dial as a physical AI compiler for work.
What it does
MX Intent Engine transforms Logitech MX Creative Console into an intent-driven execution layer. Users rotate the dial to select an “intent mode” (Plan, Build, Communicate, Analyze) and tap to execute. In one gesture, the system can: Parse meeting transcripts Generate PRDs in Notion Create structured Jira tasks Assign teammates Schedule sprint planning Notify teams in Slack
No tab switching , No copy-paste , No manual breakdown. It removes the UI translation layer between human intent and digital execution.
How we intend to build it

Key Components: Logitech Actions SDK (dial rotation + tap events) Intent Mode Router (context-aware action mapping) LLM API for structured document generation
App integrations: Notion API , Jira REST API, Slack Web API, Google Calendar API, Node.js backend orchestration service JSON-based task schema for deterministic output Instead of mapping to shortcuts, we will map hardware gestures to AI workflows. The dial becomes a context switcher. The tap becomes a compiler trigger.
Challenges we ran into
Not built yet but need to see if we can get access to actual MX console to build this. Potential challenges could include translating continuous dial rotation into discrete intent states and maintaining low latency
