My Pets

Inspiration

We try to prevent pets become stray animals on the street because people don't want to raise them.

It gives the pet community an opportunity to buy and sell pets from each other easily.

We first made design on whiteboard, and developed in android studio.

FireBase is a little bit challenging.

We successfully added the main screens with some FireBase technologies as backend.

We learned that how FireBase work.

We planned to fully integrate our app with FireBase the search function.

I worked on Android Development and Firebase authentication.

I worked on login/signup page, profile page and the uploading image page of the app, for codes and for UI implementation. For the login/signup page, I allow the mode change between login and signup by clicking the text “Or signup/login” right beside the login/signup button. For the profile page, I set the profile photo to be the shape of circle and allow users to follow and unfollow this account. And the userID appeared below the profile photo would be user’s account, which is the email. This step I achieved it by fetching user information stored when they signed up, in FireBase real-time database. For the uploading images part, I used FireBase storage methods, so the users can get access to their phone’s gallery or camera, select a photo, and upload it to the cloud.
