MyRhythm – Empowering Students to Take Control of Their Cycle & Productivity

Inspiration

Balancing academics, sports, and social life is already challenging for college students. Add PMS symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, and cramps, and it becomes even harder to stay on top of things. Most period-tracking apps only focus on cycle predictions but fail to help students plan their day or find essential products when needed.

That’s why we created MyRhythm—a smart, student-centric solution that syncs menstrual health with academic and sports schedules while providing real-time tracking of menstrual product availability on campus, ensuring students never have to struggle with access when they need it most.


What It Does

  • AI-Powered Study & Workout Planner – MyRhythm connects period tracking with academic deadlines and sports schedules, helping students optimize study and training sessions based on their cycle and energy levels.
  • Real-Time Menstrual Product Availability – No more last-minute stress! MyRhythm’s interactive campus map shows where menstrual products are stocked in restrooms and vending machines, with a community-driven reporting system for out-of-stock locations.

How We Built It

We designed MyRhythm with real student experiences in mind. By combining AI-powered insights and accessibility mapping, we’ve created an app that not only tracks cycles but also helps students plan ahead and avoid period-related disruptions.


Challenges We Ran Into

  • Balancing AI recommendations with personal preferences – We wanted MyRhythm to suggest study and workout plans without being overly rigid.
  • Ensuring real-time product tracking was reliable – Crowdsourcing product availability required a system that’s easy to use and frequently updated.
  • Designing for accessibility and ease of use – Menstrual health tools need to be discreet, intuitive, and inclusive to truly benefit students.
