Inspiration
I was inspired to help the Visually impaired have greater independence from their family members.
What it does
It acts as a service dog for the Visually impaired, while navigating around obstacles.
How we built it
I used a chassis and added some DC motors along with an Arduino and several sensors for the object avoidance.
Challenges we ran into
I had trouble with the threshold values at first and my dog was crashing, but eventually, I got it to work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud to have a working prototype, and I plan on adding more features such as fire detection and cellular calling next time.
