Inspiration
Was inspired by our own struggles with project management. Given the theme of "bring your ideas to life," we came up with the idea to represent dead projects as literally being "dead." When you don't work on them, they decay into gravestones. But, when you work on them, you are rewarded by seeing your project literally "come to life."
We learned how to integrate backend with frontend. We chose what turned out to be a very lucky combo of Flask + Svelte + SQLite. It was lucky because it turned out to be very simple and relatively painless to integrate. Using VSCode live share helped us avoid merge conflicts.
For art, we didn't have a ton talent circulating around the group, so we mostly relied on Kara, who is the only one who is at least a little decent. We worked around the art bottleneck by creating only hat variations for zombies instead of drawing entirely new zombies.
