Inspiration
Our inspiration came right from this video. We love augmented reality and have been developing apps about it for the last 3-4 years. Since then we have imagined a world like this: automatized, practical and with all information at hand. That is why we decided to try Neura's endless possibilities and merge them with AR.
What it does
Basically, it shows relevant information regarding the user’s context such as reminders, tasks to be done, places visited, and such.
Once the app is launched, the AR view is on screen, so every time Neura sends information regarding an event it’ll be shown in the AR, making it more engaging and user friendly. Also, the user can configure the settings on what reminders or tasks the user should remember and when/where, so the app can as personal as needed.
How we built it
We integrated the Augmented Reality SDK with Neura so that every time it receives any Neura event it draws it in AR.
Challenges we ran into
The greatest challenge was to establish the app flow, especially that regarding permissions, Neura authentication and AR parameters.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Merging two of the best technologies: context aware & user info that Neura provides, and Augmented Reality.
What we learned
Manage Android permissions in order to be compatible with Android 6.0.
What's next for neurAR
Better UX/UI and integrate even more events.
